Colonial Hills United Methodist School, established in 1970, has been dedicated to offering exceptional private toddler and preschool programs in San Antonio. Our mission centers on creating a safe and nurturing environment that supports the holistic development of every child.
At CHUMS, the educational experience extends beyond traditional classroom settings, equipping your child with essential social-emotional skills for future academic achievement. While many consider school readiness to be primarily about academic skills, we encourage parents to view readiness from a broader perspective. Research indicates that high-quality toddler and preschool programs are among the best ways to prepare your child for their educational journey.
Recognizing the importance of outdoor play, we provide our students with a minimum of two hours outside each day, allowing them to thrive in fresh air and engage with their natural surroundings. Our engaging hands-on activities and discovery-based learning, combined with Conscious Discipline, provide the essential tools for success in both school and life.
